"My colleagues and me personally are inviting you to enjoy our marvellous hunting facilities in a place set up especially for hunters.. by hunters like you."
Welcome to Kefalonia Game Farm Website
I was born and raised in Kefalonia and since i was a small child i ve been charmed by hunting.
With my migration in the United States, i ve had the priviledge and opportunity to satisfy my passion for hunting at some of the best hunting clubs in the USA and all over the world.
But i was missing Greece and specifically Kefalonia.
In some point, i though of combining my experience in hunting with my love for Kefalonia so i created KEFALONIA GAME FARM in my birth place Pessada.
The hunting club «Kefalonia Game Farm» , my colleagues and me personally are inviting you to enjoy our marvellous hunting facilities in a place set up especially for hunters.. by hunters like you.

And when we left together in '56 to America we got lost for a whole life ... Except I was reading in Greek newspapers for his activities in the sports field and I was proud of his accomplishments.
And now, after 49 years, I am learning that he is a bold entrepreneur who innovates and is not afraid to attempt the original and unusual. I admire him and appreciate him because I followed a parallel path at a time when the risk brought success.

Without doubt the KEFALONIA GAME FARM is innovative work for our country and a real revolution in hunting establishment.
I hope you found worthy imitators in the private carrier to hope for better hunting tomorrow. The controlled hunting has become the norm in pray advanced countries of the world and it is mathematically certain that the free traditional hunting in our country, along with so many other harmful human activities, leads things to the inevitable.
So well done Mr. Sklavounos and be sure that the contribution of KG FARM in an effort of local pray development is undoubtedly positive.

I just returned to Athens and I feel the need to write to congratulate you for the nice controlled hunting areas you created in the arid region in place of the county Pessada Kefalonia.
As Minister of Bureau, responsible for Greek tourism, and later as prime minister, I have tried during the period 1977-1980, to organize similar hunting areas in the Aegean islands who are abandoned by their inhabitants because they can not find employment there. [..] Still completing the program we could welcome every year during the off season from 15 October until mid-January, more than 20,000 foreign high-income tourist hunters.
Another result of the creation of the hunting area in barren mountains with few trees or shrubs, is what I saw in Pessada, that automatically those areas are protected from fires and unauthorized estate development.
I hope the ministers responsible for Agriculture and tourism, having now your example, to persuade hunting clubs and buy the state from your farm 300,000 pheasants within 2-3 years, partridges and American quails and transport them to the appropriate areas, whereafter hunting prohibition for two years' time, it will be possible to hunt efficiently a crowd hunters. In this way also will be enriched and fauna which in recent years has been completely destroyed.
Finishing this letter I want to congratulate you also for your idea to spare in the markets of Athens and Thessaloniki birds being killed and hunters do not take home at prices reduced by 25% compared to imported similar products from Hungary, Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia.
